AI is a major challenge for all sectors since it has numerous possible applications, for example in industry (predictive maintenance), health (medical diagnosis and treatment), embedded systems, e-commerce and digital security. It is therefore certain to raise fears and questions, sometimes of an ethical nature.<\/p>\n

Standardization in the field of AI has started at the international level. It can play a role in establishing confidence in the uses of AI and in controlling their social and societal impacts to support public policies.<\/p>\n
In 2021, the French government intends to support French players in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) by creating, through the influence of voluntary standardization, the conditions for access to and success of their solutions and products in France and internationally. This is the \u2018Grand D\u00e9fi AI\u2019, with a total amount of 1.2 M\u20ac, under the \u2018Invest for the Future\u2019 national plan and France’s recovery plan.
