EAT WELL, LIVE WELL, AGE WELL

Food, health and medicine form a continuum with inseparable issues. Current public debate on health and well-being broadly covers food and food production methods, closely linked to the issues of sustainable development, environmental protection and animal welfare

At the same time, innovative technologies are opening up new opportunities in the health sector which already benefits from considerable advances in the fields of biotechnologies and human genomics.

Tomorrow’s diet and the medicine of the future will work together to continue increasing life expectancy in good health, in a context of population ageing. These issues are the subject of growing awareness in France and around the world, with food also constituting a major geostrategic issue associated with an increasing world population.

Development of the “sport for all” concept, as promoted by organizers of the Olympic and Paralympic Games to be held in Paris in 2024, is another essential aspect of keeping people healthy and helps counter sedentary lifestyles.
