Innovation, research and voluntary standardization

Turn your innovations into commercial successes with voluntary standards!

Large groups, mid-caps, SMEs, start-ups… Your innovations are tomorrow’s business success stories. But before you take the plunge, have you checked out the rules of the game established by the players in your market?

To be sure that your innovation finds its niche and doesn’t hit technical barriers, you need to factor in aspects such as interoperability, environmental impact, data security, adaptability to the needs of senior citizens, life cycle, etc. If you don’t, the odds will not be in your favour!

At every stage of your project’s development, voluntary standards are there to provide added value and help you stay ahead of the game. What would be the point in introducing a new card format that doesn’t fit the slot in an ATM? Innovation and standardization are closely interlinked. Use voluntary standards to bring yourself up to market standards right away!

  • Funding for the standard feasibility study phase may also be supported by BPI France if the study is part of an innovation project carried out by an enterprise.

The European Commission recognizes voluntary standardization as a key instrument for promoting innovation. Standardization is both a powerful tool for making optimal use of research and a vector for disseminating innovation.
